Indian Peak Wilderness Area Shuttle Service:
Colorado Wilderness Rides and Guides can help you visit the most spectacular and pristine wilderness around Boulder Colorado!
We operate an educational wilderness shuttle service between Boulder and Hessie/4th July Trailheads . The shuttle will allow Colorado visitors and residents direct access to the spectacular Indian Peaks Wilderness without worrying about damage to a car, directions, or finding a parking space in often full trailhead parking lots.
Our van drivers are extremely knowledgeable about the trail systems within Indian Peaks Wilderness and will be able to provide passengers with individualized expert advice on routes that fit their abilities and outdoor experience. They will also provide a short history of the Wilderness area, benefits and cautions about hiking in Colorado, and answers to questions passengers may have about the area or hiking/mountain safety.
There are 18 trails (between 4 and 15 miles in length) and 5 peaks to choose from for hikes and for non-technical or technical peak ascents. Clients can choose backpacking loops or point-to-point trips without worrying or planning car rides.
The shuttle will run Friday-Sunday from June 12th to September 15th. Advanced reservations are required. Shuttles will depart from selected Boulder hotels (Millennium Harvest House Boulder, Hotel Boulderado, St Julien Hotel and Spa, and Boulder Marriott) three times daily and will arrive at the trailheads (5-9 miles west of the town of Nederland) approximately one hour after departing Boulder. Return shuttles will also be available three times daily, allowing passengers to spend shorter or longer amounts of time hiking, picnicking and exploring the wilderness.
Colorado Wilderness Rides and Guides is the one-stop shop for wilderness transportation, exploration, local information, expert advice, and safety supplies.
